Factor Bikes has unveiled a Team Amani limited edition version of their best gravel bike, the Ostro Gravel. Designed in collaboration with the team riders, it is inscribed on the top tube with  ‘Captain, Friend, Brother’ - a tribute to Sule Kangangi who sadly lost his life whilst competing in the Vermont Overland gravel race last summer.

The Team also collaborated with POC last year and launched a limited edition Team Amani version of POC's best gravel helmet and eyewear again with proceeds going to the campaign.

The Ostro Gravel Team Amani includes a stunning-looking colorway with an eye-catching ‘cheetah fork’ that stylishly incorporates the Team Amani colors. Factor has also pledged 10 percent of all Ostro Gravel Team Amani proceeds to the team’s GoFundMe campaign. Set up earlier this year to create a permanent home for the team and to develop future talent in the Rift Valley, Kenya, known as ‘the Home of Champions'.

Sitting at 2300m, Iten, a town in the Rift Valley is famous for developing athletes with incredible cardiovascular capacities. It has produced countless world-class runners such as double World Champion Abel Kirui, and Sule along with Team Amani had and continue to strive to develop a permanent facility here for cyclists.

With less than two percent of World Tour pros being African, Team Amani is attempting to remove the barriers that have prevented Africa from reaching the top. They aim to develop the younger generations of its home region and provide the opportunities that the current crop of riders never had. The facility will hope to offer aspiring talent access to equipment, training and a platform to develop into top-class bike riders.

Team Amani Director Mikel Delagrange spoke about the Factor investment “This funding in our project has single-handedly leveled the playing field in terms of equipment. Now we are equipped with the new Ostro Gravel, we are entering the race season with great confidence”.

Team Amani has been racing on the highly acclaimed Ostro Gravel since its launch in 2022 and will be racing their limited edition bike throughout their 2023 season which includes The Traka in Spain this April and at Unbound Gravel in the United States.

The Ostro Gravel Team Amani Limited Edition is available now priced from $5,499 / £5,549 / €6,599. For more information about Factor’s full range visit factorbikes.com. Follow Team Amani's season and donate at teamamani.com.
