You can get up to 50 percent off a selection of new Specialized helmets just by trading in an old one, and the good news is it doesn't even need to be a Specialized lid you're turning in. While you could rescue that mouldy, cobwebbed helmet from the garage – the cheap one that looks like it's on backwards whatever you do – and give them that, we couldn't possibly comment.

There are 10 helmets in the sale, and it covers both mountain bike and road styles. You can get 50 percent off the Ambush and Ambush Comp trail lids, and 30 percent off the full-face Gambit.

Our lead tester Guy really rated the latest Ambush model when he reviewed it last year.

Among road lids you can get 50 percent off the high-end S-Works Prevail II Vent, or 30 percent off a Propero III, Echelon II MIPS, Chamonix MIPS or Align II.

Rounding out the selection are the Mode and Centro LED urban helmets, and Mio MIPS kids helmet.

This is only available in the UK and you can take advantage of this offer at your local Specialized retailer, and beware that it's valid while stocks last – it should be noted that it excludes Evans Cycles.
