The Kask Protone helmet saved my life and its now at its lowest price this Amazon Prime Day

October's Amazon Prime Day 2 (now officially called Prime Big Deal Days) is up and running, with loads of discounts dropping on the retail giants US and UK sites. Although the focus is on the deals and bargains on Amazon, most of the big online cycling retailers are also getting involved and adding some nice discounts.

The Bike Perfect team has been hunting around and found some great deals and we are updating our main deals hub as the best deals come in, from the best mountain bikes to cycling tech. This particular discount caught my eye from Wiggle, as its a product that literally saved my life, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a crash test proven, all-rounder MTB or gravel helmet. The Kask Protone currently has a big 32% discount on the Matte Black version, with various discounts on the other color options.

There are plenty of other color options at various discounts with the on-trend Matt Olive Green available with an even better 37% discount. This is a brilliant highly recommended all-rounder at a great price for Amazon Prime Day.

I've tested many helmets including the more expensive Kask Elemento recently. However, thankfully you never get to actually crash-test them. For the Kask Protone, I inadvertently put it to the ultimate test with a major crash at speed last year. While out riding gravel bikes with friends and on a tarmac section of the ride, I clipped the rider's wheel in front and hit the road at pace (35kmph+). The Protone took the full force, and the result was minor injuries for me, with the helmet soaking up the impact and paying the ultimate price.

The helmet now hangs in my garage as a reminder, with Kask having replaced the helmet like for like. It's not the Kask official policy, but they do offer a percentage crash discount which is always handy, and you can always ask the question on a replacement too.

The proven features of the Kask Protone which has had a redesign, include subtle changes to the venting to boost airflow, and an improved fit system that’s now more comfortable and secure. The superb head protection on offer comes with the brand's Multi In-Moulding Technology, which is a lightweight polycarbonate shell fused to the shock-absorbing EPS foam inner. In the event of a crash, this works to dissipate harmful forces that could otherwise cause serious injury, and as mentioned it works.

While this particular offer is for the UK only, I've added our price checker below which will automatically give you the best price on the Kask Protone in various color options in your territory.
