Mondraker brings new more affordable Raze models to its 2023 MTB lineup
The Spanish brand's new aluminium Raze models promise the same ride qualities and performance as the carbon framed versions
Last year Mondraker introduced the Raze Carbon which featured its Stealth air carbon frame and became one of the brand's most successful models. For this season they present two new Raze models in aluminum – the Raze and the Raze R – to add to the ever-increasing and impressive 2023 Mondraker range.
Both new Raze aluminum models share the same configurations and geometry as the Raze Carbon, but with an aluminum frame. Mondraker says they aim to satisfy the demand for versatile aluminum trail bikes while retaining the same qualities and performance as its higher-end carbon models.
Both new models maintain the 150mm travel of the carbon originals, with the Raze R getting the Fox 36 29 Float GRIP EVOL and the Raze a RockShox 35 Gold 29 RL, coupled with Fox Float DPS LV EVOL 130mm rear shock that also utilizes the Mondraker Zero suspension system.
The Raze range was inspired by the longer travel Foxy models that Mondraker says delivers 'a balance of great pedaling performance, while at the same time offering sharp handling and stability going downhill'. The new alloy Raze inherits the same kinematics as its carbon sibling and promises the same balance of great shock absorption, agility and pedaling efficiency for all round trail riding performance.
Raze pricing and availability
Mondraker have said that the Raze R and Raze are available now and the Raze R will cost €4,990 / $5,420 / £4,399, while the Raze version comes in at €3,629 / $3,941 / £3,199.
The Raze range should be perfect for riders looking for the next-generation aluminum full-suspension bike which is capable enough to take on a wide variety of trails. It comes with an impressive out-the-box spec packed with Mondraker exclusive tech. For more info on the Raze R and the Raze head to Mondraker.com.
