Oakley reinterprets its classic Muzm MTB sunglasses with the help of a naked Amaury Pierron
Be quick though because these legendary shades come in a limited edition run of 375 but also at a limited edition cost
Oakley launched their 2023 collection last month featuring the brand's all-new best MTB clothing and also included a very cool-looking gravel-specific range. The new collection was led by the all-new Encoder Strike sunglasses, and now Oakley returns with a limited edition version of the legendary Muzm Racing Jacket sunglasses, making a return twenty-five years after the brand first burst onto the scene.
The newest interpretation of the Muzm, the brand’s first-ever dual-lens performance sunglasses, are an ongoing evolution in reinterpreting iconic, archived products with modern technology, that they say is creating a true form of art.
The Muzm Racing Jackets are designed to fit the face like the best mountain bike jackets fit on the body, and Oakley’s latest Muzm features one of the best downhill mountain bike racers, the Team Oakley main man, Amaury Pierron. The French MTB star is renowned for his versatility and unique never say die riding style, and he bares it all for the latest campaign, and shows a few of his battle scars earned on the downhill circuit.
The Muzm are only available in a strikingly stripey Red Tiger colorway with Prizm Black lenses. Having worn the Oakley Prizm Lens Technology in other models I've owned, the Muzm should deliver the same visual clarity, and comes with the added benefit of what Oakley says is extreme ventilation, for that all-important airflow management. They also come with Unobtainium nose pads and ear socks, which are Oakley's rubber fittings that are designed to increase grip with perspiration to help provide a secure and custom fit.
Available from May 4th, the Red Tiger is an extremely limited run with only 375 serialized versions of the Racing Jacket available, all of which come in a premium collector’s box. You can grab this one-of-a-kind piece by shopping on Oakley.com, select retail partners, and Oakley stores retailing at $261 with UK and European pricing TBC.
