Mind telemetry tech on Mondraker's new Summum takes the guesswork out of downhill suspension setup

Mondraker has finally added their unique Mind telemetry tool to their Summum downhill bike for 2023. The system, which was developed completely in-house, offers suspension setup, tunning prompts, and GPS tracking.

The Mind system was originally released in 2021 and was initially featured on Mondraker's Foxy and electric Crafty enduro bikes. More recently it got added to the new 2023 Raze Carbon and now Mondraker has fitted the tech to their downhill bike.

There are a few brands that also offer suspension tuning and telemetry devices, however, Mondraker's Mind system is the most integrated design we've yet seen. As it comes factory installed, it doesn't require anything to be manually setup on the bike and the neat integration and wireless design limit potential crash damage.

The system integrates a sensor into the bolt-on Fox 40 fender which detects a magnet positioned in the steerer. At the rear, the sensor is located on the top shock linkage and the magnet is fitted to the pivot bolt. Mondraker says that the sensors take readings hundreds times per second in order to record travel usage and compression/rebound speeds.

The system sends the suspension readings, along with GPS data, to the myMondraker app via Bluetooth where it can be analyzed. This gives downhill riders a wealth of useful data to not only quickly set up bikes but also tune suspension based on specific tracks and riding styles. Riders can also use GPS tracking data to analyze runs with the system showing everything from distance, speed, and jump stats.

The Mind system will come as stock on Mondraker's 2023 Summum Carbon R and RR downhill bikes which feature Mondraker's legendary Forward Geometry, and Zero suspension system. The Summum Carbon is available in both a 29er front and rear or mullet format and the RR version will also include +-1 degree / +-2 degrees headset cups to tweak the geometry.

Pricing for the Summum Carbon with Mind starts at $9,499 / £7,499 / €7,699 for the Summum Carbon R while the top-spec model will cost you $11,999 / £8,999 / €9,999.
