Canyon will be marketing a limited-edition version of its dual-suspension XC mountain bike range for the 2020 model year.

The Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD is a collaboration with DT Swiss and features the most desirable collection of components, curated and integrated, by Canyon and DT Swiss engineers.

Using the Lux frame as a platform, Canyon’s product planners imagined what the brand’s ultimate 29er dual-suspension racing bike would be.

The result is a bike with premium specification components, for the discerning long-distance mountain biker, or committed amateur cross country racer.

Finished in classic black and white, the Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD features the very best bits DT Swiss produces. Canyon has been closely involved with DT Swiss developing its own 232 One XC component range and the Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD is a celebration of this collaboration.

The Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD rolls DT Swiss XRC 1200 carbon rims, with a generous 30mm internal width profile. Providing predictable cornering feedback and secure grip on a diversity of terrain, are Maxxis tyres (Ikon/Aspen), sized 2.35in up front and 2.25in at the rear.

Energy transfer is managed by Sram’s XX1 Eagle AXS electronic drivetrain, while predictable deceleration is provided by Sram Level Ultimate brakes.

Unlike most other bikes featuring the Sram AXS groupset, this Canyon Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD foregoes the wireless Reverb dropper post in favour of a DT Swiss D 232 One dropper. This new dropper seatpost from DT Swiss is engineered specifically for cross country riders, featuring 60mm of stroke and weighing only 369g.

The Canyon Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD’s crucial suspension components are also supplied by DT Swiss, showing off the company’s latest damper developments. Up front there is a 110mm DT Swiss F 232 One fork, registering only 1.5kg of mass.

Balancing the fork’s linear optimised performance is an R 232 One rear shock, which has also been configured with small-bump sensitivity in mind.

Canyon claims an on-trail weight of 10.1kg for its Lux CF SLX 9.0 DT LTD and will only be marketing 32 of these bikes, priced at €7499 each.
